Registration

Conference registration is now open and available via our membership platform, Wild Apricot:

The 2023 AFDOSS AEC is in Asheville, North Carolina, at The Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resort Asheville.

From the Airport:

  • Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) : Turn left at the light on Airport Rd. Go to the 3rd light and turn left on Exit Ramp for I-26 W. Take I-240 to Asheville. Go 3 miles and take Exit 3-B. Turn right on Regent Park Blvd. Go to Resort Dr. There you’ll find the hotel.
  • Greenville-Spartanburg (GSP) : Take I-85 N. to I-26 W. Merge onto I-240 E. Take Exit 3A for Patton Ave. At the second light make a right and follow the road until you see the Crowne Plaza sign on your left. Make a left and follow the road to registration.
  • Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) : Take I-85 S. to US-321 N. to I-40 W. Take I-240 W. to exit 3B and drive to Resort Drive. Follow the road to registration.

Hotel Shuttle: The hotel offers downtown shuttle service for $8 round trip. The shuttle drops off and picks up hotel guests at a central location in downtown Asheville, convenient to over 250 different shops and restaurants. Shuttle schedule/availability subject to change.

Parking: Self-parking is complimentary. Valet service is available for a nominal fee.

Continuing Education

AFDOSS was granted Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) through NEHA. 2023 AEC attendees are eligible for 16.5 CEU contact hours. Forms to claim CEUs will be available at the registration desk for conference attendees.

SHIPMENTS
Packages may be delivered to the hotel within 72 hours of the date of the function. Packages or materials of excessive weight or value must be approved for receipt by the hotel prior to shipping. There will be a $5.00 per box, handling charge for all packages processed by the hotel. Each pallet or crate delivered to the hotel is subject to a $150.00 handling charge. Should special arrangements for delivery be necessary, please contact your Crowne Meetings Director or Crowne Meetings Manager. A storage fee of $25.00 per box per day will apply for any boxes received prior to 72 hours of the function.

Travel Scholarships

The window to apply for travel scholarships has now closed.

Travel scholarships were available to state and local, food and drug regulatory personnel, to aid regulatory members in attending the AEC. Conference Registration was not an allowable expense for inclusion in a scholarship award.

Applications for travel scholarships were available via SurveyMonkey. AFDOSS will be offering Travel Scholarships for our 2024 Annual Educational Conference in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
